NYC, Expanding Later - A slight, occasionally gimmicky, but still poignant
character study. "Dark Horse" is a hair too brief to gain the breadth or
impact it deserves, but Todd Solondz nevertheless sees and cares and loves
his characters in all of their faults and eccentricities.

Europe's Most Wanted

Nationwide - Ultimately, it's still nothing more than a willowy good time,
but it sends the characters and their ongoing story out on a high note. Now
let's stop while the franchise is ahead; by the end, there's nowhere else
for them to go. Leaving the story be right where it is would be the series'
last-and best-flourish.

Select Cities - Directed in an unobtrusive, low-key manner by Bruce
Beresford, "Peace, Love & Misunderstanding" is the kind of human-drawn
slice-of-life that's difficult to dislike. Or, at least, it would be if it
weren't for its obligatory story happenings and non-event of a conclusion.

Nationwide - Seemingly boundless in its thematic relevance, its three-
dimensional shades of characters, its eye-popping imagination, and its sly
insinuations and suggestions within a miraculously constructed narrative,
"Prometheus" is in many ways a groundbreaking feat of visionary art.
