#homedepotfail

As a General Contractor, we use many different vendors. Of late, HD Reston was doing a bang up job for us. Then we purchased a washing machine in a pinch. The price was great and they accommodated a same day delivery window. Wow. Then the machine shows up. First it is damaged. The waste water valve is broken. Then we open it up to look for instructions and find laundry and water marks indicating that the machine had been used and returned. Upon further examination, we see that the previous owner did not remove the travel bolts prior to installation making the unit virtually inoperable. An honest mistake? Yes. Poor quality control? Surely. Should the unit have been put back on the floor for sale? NO. All forgivable issues. What is not forgivable is denying that the unit was damaged or had been used. And what is not acceptable is the poor attitude of some of the folks who got called out on the carpet over this. It is one thing to sell a customer damaged product. But when constructive criticism is offered-learn from it. Heed it. Don't repeat the mistakes and don't stick your head in the ground thinking we will go away. Rest assured-you will be gone before we are. #Homedepotfail Get your act together and you will once again earn our business.
