Just watched the first 5 minutes of NBC's opening coverage for the Games in
London. Awful and the highlight-Bob Costas' commentary.......I think not.
More like the lowlight. Will be following the games online and watching on
the secondary channels. Cannot bear the thought of listening to Costas for
17 days!

Nationwide Friday- If certain aspects of the film can be picked apart, it
comes only as a noteworthy trait because the former chapter in the trilogy
was so difficult to criticize. Judged on its own merits, or even as the last
part to a very fulfilling puzzle, it is a mature and sprawling achievement
that proves big-budget filmmaking need not be all flash and no brains. It
might take a little too long getting there in the grand scheme, but "The
Dark Knight Rises" finally approaches cinematic nirvana just as it reaches
the perfect denouement, closing the book on a vision of Batman unlikely to
be equaled when Warner Bros. no doubt reboots the character in a few years'
time.

Nationwide - Ruddy, dull, and so instantaneously forgettable that it
wouldn't be a surprise to learn viewers are getting hammered upside the
head upon exiting the theater. "Ice Age: Continental Drift" would like to
think it shares moralistic lessons about the importance of family and
friends, but the film itself is deeply disingenuous and its very existence
nothing more than a cash grab.

Select Cities - Spunky, deeply poignant at times, and beautifully carried by
a miraculous performance from then-6-year-old newcomer Quvenzhané Wallis,

shoestring funds, and how the beauty of a good screenplay is more important
than anything money can buy.
