Nationwide - So many characters, so little substance! The cast list for "New
Year's Eve" is filled to bursting, but the film is practically as empty as a
barren desert with a tumbleweed blowing through. The film comes perilously
close to feeling like a spoof of a romantic comedy instead of the genuine
article.

Nationwide - It frequently splits the sides without needing to strain for
humor, is consistently entertaining for all of its brisk 81 minutes, and
concludes with characters who have learned a few things along the way and
are maybe a little wiser than they were at the start.
