Nationwide - While this entry blessedly does away with most of the
unsettling and mean-spirited themes of the earlier films, there simply
isn't enough material to withstand a feature-length running time in between
the musical numbers. For what it's worth (not much), it's still the best of
the trilogy.

Select Cities - Pedantic, ineffectual, and dry in its soap-opera leanings.
"A Dangerous Method" is handsome in its period setting, but director David
Cronenberg has done nothing to vividly bring this story to life. He sets
his actors adrift and hopes for the best. The best never comes.

Now on IMAX Screens, Opens Nationwide Dec 21 - Pixar filmmaker Brad Bird
tackles his very first live-action feature and ably puts to shame most
veteran directors who have made a living in the action genre. As far as
properly choreographed, cohesively edited slam-bang action goes, popcorn-
munching audiences probably won't be able to do much better than this.

Nationwide - The plot is stale, the dreary characters are no more fleshed-
out than they were before, and it all adds up to an ending that seems to
have been thrown together at the last minute and makes less sense the more
one considers it.

Nationwide - In a burnt-black dark comedy far removed from the warm and
fuzzes, "Young Adult" is a character study of uncommon originality and
perceptiveness with a protagonist as fascinating as nearly any seen in
2011. Charlize Theron kills it in a very, very good way.
