will need at least two boxes of chocolates this weekend....

Opening This Week:

★★★ (out of ★★★★)

Nationwide - An unpretentious, sweet-hearted slice-of-life. "Larry Crowne"
isn't a breakthrough in innovation, but it's also not stringently stuck in
formula, either. Ringing true fairly consistently and lingering afterwards
even in its lightness, the film doesn't have to try to please. It just does.

<http://www.dustinputman.com/reviews/m/11_montecarlo.htm> Monte Carlo
½ (out of ★★★★)

Nationwide - "Monte Carlo" should have been a fun confection, passingly
diverting if nothing else. Instead, it drags its feet for 108 interminable
minutes, sinking all the deeper with each insulting thematic dung-flop it
flings at its audience. This isn't a wish-fulfillment romantic fantasy.
It's an otherworldly farce.

<http://www.dustinputman.com/reviews/t/11_transformers3.htm> Transformers:
Dark of the Moon
★★ (out of ★★★★)

Nationwide - Concluding on an especially shrug-worthy note, "Transformers:
Dark of the Moon" cannot be recommended when all is said and done.
Considering how much more disastrous it could have been, however, this is
one instance where two stars is almost something to celebrate.
