Nationwide - Not an offensively bad way to spend an hour and a half, but
the narrative is nonetheless a slapdash affair as it becomes a rehash of
any number of superior films. "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" stands as
a mild improvement over the already out-dated original, even as it still
doesn't quite warrant a recommendation.

Nationwide - "Safe House" includes a car chase, a cat-and-mouse game at a
nighttime soccer stadium, and several shoot-outs. Sadly, reading about it
is more diverting than experiencing it-a tell-tale sign that the makers
haven't done their jobs in making a movie that many viewers actively will
want to keep watching.

Nationwide - Love stories needn't reinvent the wheel as long as they treat
their characters-and the audience-with respect. A little chemistry doesn't
hurt, either. For all of its occasional taxing delusions of grandeur, "The
Vow" gets these two things right.
