half way through summer--seen a movie yet?

Opening This Week:

Killing
★★½ (out of ★★★★)

Select Cities - If director Joshua Oppenheimer occasionally loses his way
in his own narrative, leaving key details out while concentrating on less-
critical minutiae, where this picture demands attention is in its chilling
portrait of indoctrination and evil, those responsible for so many deaths
taking for granted the value of life itself.

<http://www.dustinputman.com/reviews/f/13_fruitvalestation.htm> Fruitvale
Station
★★★★ (out of ★★★★)

Select Cities - At its universal core, "Fruitvale Station" is about the
sheer fragility of life itself, and it is nothing short of unforgettable.
The film is a devastating portrait of the fallibility of man and the
importance of appreciating what one has while it's still here.

<http://www.dustinputman.com/reviews/t/13_todolist.htm> The To Do List
★★½ (out of ★★★★)

Nationwide - Loose and limber, proudly R-rated and wickedly amusing, the
film goes out on a limb, not always trekking down the most conventional or
expected path. If not a new classic of the genre, do credit "The To Do
List" for acknowledging that girls think about sex as much as guys.

<http://www.dustinputman.com/reviews/w/13_wolverine.htm> The Wolverine
★ (out of ★★★★)

Nationwide - "The Wolverine" is exceedingly pedestrian and shockingly
limited in scale for a big-budget, summer-released Marvel comic book
adaptation, the kind of film a person sits and watches while wondering all
along why anything on the screen is worth caring about.
